The goal of the GW Film Studies Program is to help students appreciate the complexities of artistic expression that have always been part and parcel of film — the myriad ways that imagination intersects with reality. Housed in the Columbian College's American Studies Department, the interdisciplinary program prepares students with critical thinking skills applicable to a variety of careers. Our faculty are experts in their fields, bringing perspectives from international affairs, political science, literature and foreign languages to their classes.
